5 of 5 Great tape for my TEAC X10 and ReVox A77 July 25, 2021
Reviewer: Robbert from NASHVILLE, TN United States
I bought a tape to try and yes this tape records and play back great on my Teac X10.
I used the Recording Bias in position two and achieved on 7.5 Ips a very high quality recording.

Review updated from here:

Now I have recapped and put all new bearings in my ReVox A77 as well a new pinch roller and calibrated it on the A77 I am really happy with the C930 tapes. Recorded music is almost indistinguishable from the source on 7 1/2 inch/sec.

The C930 is a keeper for me.

5 of 5 Love this tape February 12, 2021
Reviewer: A. Davis from Providence, RI United States
I use Capture 930 with several recorders: Tascam 388, Tascam 22-4, Otari MX5050 (two track), Otari MTR-10 (two-track). I also use Capture 914 with an Otari MX-5050 8 track (1/2").

With every combination I've been very happy with the results. Capture is well made. It has a subtle-yet-pleasing "tape" sound. It is relatively quiet even without NR.

I would love to see this tape in a 1" format. I would also be interested in seeing a higher output formula. In the meantime I highly recommend 930 and 914.

5 of 5 Good Tape for The Price August 6, 2017
Reviewer: Sam Palermo from Bensenville, IL United States
Being I am in the repair business of open reels I was requested to set some machines up to this tape. It has worked out very well and I have no reason to say to someone- "why would you like to use that old formula for?" This I say about UD. 930 works well on the recorders I used it on.and from I see you can save some money and support the great people at Splicit at the same time.

5 of 5 Capture 930 set-up. December 27, 2016
Reviewer: Lawrence DeRose from Ocala, FL United States
Chuck Ziska just built a Crown CX822 (2-track) for me. Incorporating NOS Nortronics 'Duracore' heads.
After a full alignment, With bias set to 0VU, it was cal'ed for 456, 0VU= 200nwb/mr. It spec'ed out @ 32hz to 28Khz + - 1db. set @ -10db input.  I.M.= a fantastic 0.05% @ 0VU. (Lissajous was perfect). Without re-biasing, the Capture 930 was down about 4db in outout. Simply adjusting the bias to -2.5db boosted the output to near 456 levels & the freq. sweep was comparable.  Great tape but not quite the high output of 456. Still absolutely fine in my book.

5 of 5 930 Great for multitracking! August 9, 2016
Reviewer: John Ribadeneyra from Astoria, NY United States
I have a 1/4" 8-track deck that is finicky about what tape will work right, and what tape will hiss like a serpent and suddenly drop out at the worst times possible.

I used the 930 and was blown away by the quality. Full-bodied, and punchy lows. Smooth and defined mids, and nice crisp highs give my recordings some of the best character I've heard of any new tape. Maybe any tape ever. Honestly, I love this stuff and the price is great. Thank you for giving us analog hold-outs something to be excited about. I will be using Capture tape for all my future recording projects.

5 of 5 Capture Series 930 - Very Impressive July 19, 2016
Reviewer: Bruce Douglas from Belmont, MI United States
Capture 930 is without a doubt an exceptional tape and one of the most exciting recent developments in the field of analog recording. I am using it on both pro level two track machines and consumer grade quarter track machines. It performs extremely well in both settings.

I have found it to be extremely well balanced across the entire audio spectrum -- tight, punchy bass, smooth midrange reproduction and clean, transparent highs. It just "works" as a quality tape should.

On my decks which are biased for LPR35. The capture tape made terrific sounding recordings. I just placed my third order.
